National I.T. Project AWARDEDIn May 2015 the school was awarded a national IT project. This is a three- year project with all students to be equipped with tablets. Teachers and students will be introduced to new working and learning practices, to include IT supported collaborative work and competence-based pluridisciplinary projects. Special training will be provided for staff, students and parents. The future classroom lab is part of this project and is a regular learning space for the first set of students and teachers equipped with tablets. The lab is a place for sharing good practice with other teachers from local schools including trainee teachers. The school IT project also includes collaborative projects between our secondary students and students from local primary schools. Joint technology- based projects are planned for the following school year programme.

THymio robots- CODINGChildren love to code and can use robots in their final productions to present their work. In the classroom students can use the thymio robots available if they wish. All the students have participated at several hour of code ventures in English. These projects have been run as joint projects with the maths, technology and English teachers. This is a challenge for teachers as we require training on this - some teachers are receiving training on how to use the software Scratch.
